AHDA is asking the House Energy and Commerce Committee to move the bill through a hearing or markup, and to position it for possible inclusion in an appropriate year-end health package.
That is a deliberately concrete request. A bill with broad bipartisan cosponsorship still needs a committee to act on it, and year-end health packages are one of the more realistic paths for legislation of this size to become law.
